The group stage of the European section of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification has seen its conclusion. The Polish national team will play in two-phase playoffs – the team is unseeded in the semi-final draw and will play an away match. Krychowiak will miss the match due to an excess of yellow cards. The decision relating to the absence of Lewandowski and Glik was made jointly by the head coach Paulo Sousa and the players themselves.
