Robert Lewandowski was voted the world's best football player in FIFA's 2021 Best Awards. The striker of the Polish national team and Bayern Munich beat Leo Messi and Mohamed Salah in a vote of national team captains and head coaches, journalists, as well as fans across the globe. "Lewy" was also included in the FIFA team of the year. Hats off!
Paulo Sousa is no longer the head coach of the Polish national team
Paulo Sousa is no longer the head coach of the Polish national team, as announced by the President of the Polish Football Association. "As the Management Board, we have unanimously decided to terminate the contract with Paulo Sousa. As part of the agreement, the former head coach will pay compensation to PZPN corresponding to the federation's expectations," announced president Cezary Kulesza.

The group stage of the European section of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification has seen its conclusion. The Polish national team will play in two-phase playoffs – the team is unseeded in the semi-final draw and will play an away match. The playoff draw for both phases will take place on November 26 at 17:00 in Zurich.
