Schedule for the World Cup in Qatar
FIFA has released the official match schedule for the World Cup final tournament, which will be played from 21 November to 18 December in Qatar. The Polish national team was drawn in Group C and will face Mexico (22 November), Saudi Arabia (26 November) and Argentina (30 November).

A glittering draw show starred by some of the greatest names of the game and the entertainment industry defined the groups and initial fixtures of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. While 29 teams can now imagine their journey all the way to the final, the remaining eight will fight for the last three spots at the playoffs in June.
Robert Lewandowski: The whole team deserves praise
The captain led the Polish national team to a victory against Sweden in the final of the Qatar World Cup play-offs. "Lewy" scored the first goal for the White-and-Reds from a penalty kick. "It was one of the toughest penalties of my life. I was aware of the pressure, I wanted to concentrate fully on the shot but I knew what was at stake. Then there was great euphoria because I knew we had taken a crucial step. Later "Zielu" scored a second goal and we did it!" said Robert Lewandowski joyfully.
Czesław Michniewicz: This match was a victory for the whole of Poland
The Polish national team won 2-0 against Sweden and will play in the finals of the World Cup in Qatar. "It wasn't just my match versus Sweden. The whole of Poland wanted to win this match. The tension was shared by over 38 million Poles. I kept telling the players to focus on the game. Today, we are all celebrating together and I would like to thank President Cezary Kulesza for choosing me. He gave me a chance and, in return, I did the best I could," said Czesław Michniewicz, head coach of the Polish national team.
Grzegorz Krychowiak: It was the most important match of the season!
When Grzegorz Krychowiak came out onto the pitch in the second half, it changed the course of Poland's match against Sweden for the promotion to the World Cup in Qatar. It was Krychowiak who was fouled in the penalty area and received a penalty kick which Robert Lewandowski converted, thus scoring the first goal of the match. "Everyone worked hard to get to the World Cup. This team is made up of fantastic players. It hurt a bit that I wasn't in the starting eleven but this is a consequence of the war, which prevented me from preparing properly," said the Polish national team midfielder.
Wojciech Szczęsny: We went back to the "old national team"
Wojciech Szczęsny played a very good match in the Polish goal. The Juventus FC player made several impressive saves in the final match of the Qatar World Cup play-offs. "I haven't been giving much to the national team recently and the tension has eased somewhat now. I'm laid back on a daily basis and people don't see how hard I work. I really care about playing for the national team," admitted Szczęsny.
