The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has announced who is the top goal scorer of the third decade of the 21st century. Robert Lewandowski is the player who scored the highest number of goals in 2021 and 2022.

The Polish Football Association announces that Czesław Michniewicz will stand down as head coach of the Polish national team as of 31 December 2022.
The Polish national team moves up in the FIFA ranking
The Polish national team, in the latest ranking published by the International Association Football Federation, was ranked 22nd. Compared to the previous FIFA ranking, the White and Reds moved up four places. Brazil remains in the lead, with world champion Argentina in second place and France on the third step of the podium.

The Polish national team lost 1:3 to France and were knocked out in the 1/8 finals of the World Cup in Qatar. "We are happy that we managed to get out of the group at the World Cup, but it is a pity that this adventure is already over. "This championship ends for us today. We achieved our primary goal of getting out of the group for the first time since 1986. In the knockout stage, fate paired us straight away with the reigning world champion, who proved too strong. I congratulate the French and I suppose they will get far in this tournament," said the head coach of the Polish national team Czesław Michniewicz at the press conference after the match against France.
Robert Lewandowski: We gave it our all
The White-and-Reds were able to leave the pitch with their heads held high after the match against France, despite a 1:3 defeat. The only goal for the Polish national team was scored by Robert Lewandowski. "We gave it our all. It is a pity that we did not score in the first half, because we created several clear-cut situations. The most important thing is that we tried and fought until the end," said the national team captain.
