We have a new champion of Poland! In the 2022/2023 season, Raków Częstochowa proved to be the best PKO BP Ekstraklasa team who have dethroned Lech Poznań. Goalkeeper Kacper Tobiasz was voted the best player of the Fortuna Polish Cup final, in which Legia Warszawa defeated Raków Częstochowa at PGE Narodowy after a series of penalty kicks. The score was 0-0 in the regulation time and the extra time also did not decide the game. Exactly PLN 889,000 for one season alone shall be awarded in total to the clubs of the two highest divisions of women's football in Poland. This is more than half a million PLN more than before. The additional prize money is the result of the Polish Football Association's investment in women's football and the implementation of its recently adopted strategy.
