Szymon Marciniak: After the nomination for the final, emotions ran high
Szymon Marciniak and his refereeing team returned from the World Cup in Qatar after more than a month's stay, and in a meeting with journalists he shared his most important memories from the championships. "Before the final, we sat in a room with Pierluigi Collina, who had a sheet of paper printed with the referees for the World Cup final. The room was filled with the best referees in the world and our names were read out. It's an amazing feeling," said the referee.

Argentina's third world championship has become a reality! Leo Messi and his team defeated France in the final match. The victory of the South American team was determined by penalty kicks. The match was refereed by Szymon Marciniak, who received very good reviews.

This is a historic moment for Polish refereeing. The date of 18 December will forever go down in the annals. Szymon Marciniak will be the first Pole to officiate a World Cup final as a chief referee. He will be supported by his line assistants – Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz. The match between Argentina and France will take place on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
Under-20: Poland suffers defeat to Romania
In their fourth Elite League match, the Polish national under-20 team lost 0-2 to Romania. Ianis Stoica scored the first goal 16 minutes into the match, while Gabriel Buta brought the score to 2-0 in the second half. The team led by Miłosz Stępiński has collected six points so far by defeating Portugal 3-1 and Italy 1-0.
Summary of the "Startups in the Game" programme
The final gala summed up the pilot edition of the "Startups in the Game" programme called "Road to Qatar". A jury of representatives from the worlds of sport, technology and business selected three winning teams out of the 11 teams that tackled the challenges set by PZPN.
PZPN General Reporting Assembly Meeting
On Friday, 4 November 2022, the PZPN General Reporting Assembly Meeting was held at the Sofitel Victoria Hotel in Warsaw. The meeting approved the financial statements of PZPN for 2021 and the report on the activities of the Management Board and the Audit Committee of PZPN for the last 12 months. New Articles of Association of PZPN were also adopted. Cezary Kulesza, President of PZPN, presented the Diamond Awards to Zdzisław Łazarczyk and Eugeniusz Nowak.
