The goalkeeper of the Polish national team and West Ham United has begun her studies at the UEFA Academy. Szemik is the first person from Poland to take part in the "UEFA CFM – Players' edition" programme, which in the past has already graduated... a world champion and Champions League winner.

Nina Patalon: We must take care of every detail while preparing for the tournament
The draw for the group stage of the Women's European Championship, to be played in July, was held in Switzerland. The Polish women will face Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. "The final tournament of the European Championship is upon us, and at this stage there are no easy groups and no teams that would let us relax even a little in the fight for points. It is crucial for us that we will face teams that are strong opponents, but their culture and style of play suit our team. We already have some experience and we know our rivals, which is an added advantage when it comes to preparing for this competition," said head coach Nina Patalon.
Cezary Kulesza: I believe in our team. Historic Euro is coming
"We are in a very difficult group, in which we will face Germany, Denmark and Sweden – the absolute top teams in Europe." However, there are no easy rivals at the European championships, which is why each such competition is a development opportunity for us," said Cezary Kulesza, president of the Polish Football Association, assessing the group draw for the 2025 Women's European Championship.
Michał Probierz: Regardless of rivals, our goal is to win
“We have found ourselves in a five-team group, and to know all the rivals, we must wait for the result of the Spain vs Holland game. Regardless of what team fate brings us, our experience in clashes with teams we faced in the Nations League will certainly pay off in our games with any of these opponents,” said Polish national team head coach Michał Probierz after the draw of the qualification groups for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

During Friday's draw, the Polish national team learned about their rivals in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Poles will play in Group G and face the loser of the Spain vs Holland match, as well as Finland, Lithuania and Malta.
