The Poles have qualified for the Under-21 European Championships!

Poland's under-21 national team drew 3:3 against Germany. This result, as well as favourable results in other matches, placed coach Adam Majewski's players among the top three teams that finished second in their groups and thus won direct qualification for the European Championships.

In Łódź, the Poles were already losing 1:3 to Germany and such a result would have sent them to the play-offs. After the break, the White and Reds made a comeback. This meant almost certain qualification, but players had to wait for the results of the matches between Belgium and Croatia. With Poland's draw, the aforementioned teams had a chance to finish ahead of them, but only if they won scoring a high number of goals. As these teams' matches started an hour later, it was necessary to wait for them to finish.

Everything went coach Majewski's players' way. Belgium lost at home to Hungary 0:1, while Croatia struggled to beat Greece 3:2. This was not enough to move ahead of the Poles in the classification of second-placed teams. The Polish national team finished in the top three, which meant they were directly qualified for the Under-21 Euros.
