The Polish national team defeated Albania 2-1 thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski and Piotr Zieliński, advancing to the play-off final for a spot in this year's World Cup. The White-and-Reds went into the break behind, but after the interval they showed character and nerves of steel. In Tuesday’s decisive clash for a place at the World Cup (31 March), Jan Urban’s side will face Sweden, who beat Ukraine 3–1.
