Warsaw and Chorzów will host the first four home matches of the Polish national team in 2025. Two of the scheduled matches will be held at PGE Narodowy, and two more will be held at the Silesian Stadium.
The Poles will begin competition with a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in March against Lithuania and Malta. Both games will be played at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw. “PGE Narodowy is a symbolic place in Poland’s recent football history. Together, we have experienced huge emotions and great moments here after the most important matches. We are happy that our national team will also play at this venue in 2025. However, we also want to acknowledge the fans in the south of the country. Fans follow the national team all over the world. This year, the national team will come to them, so in addition to Warsaw, we will also play our matches in Chorzów,” said Cezary Kulesza, President of the Polish Football Association.
The Polish team will play their first match in 2025 at the Silesian Stadium on 6 June. It will be a friendly, but the rival has not yet been selected. Negotiations are currently underway. The decision will be announced in a separate press release.
On 7 September, the Polish national team will face Finland in Chorzów in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. “The Silesian Stadium is a place with a unique atmosphere. Anyone interested in football in our country knows that our national team has played matches there that have made history. Playing in this magnificent stadium is a great honour and a chance to continue the tradition full of emotions and beautiful moments,” added Łukasz Wachowski, Secretary General of the Polish Football Association.
The Poles have two more matches scheduled later this year: a friendly (rival to be confirmed) on 9 October and a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Spain or the Netherlands on 14 November. The location of these matches has not yet been determined. We will announce the decision in a separate press release.
