Poland to face Estonia in the semi-finals of the European Championships qualifying play-offs

After Tuesday's qualifying matches for next year's European Championships final tournament, the Polish national team opponent in the semi-final of the play-offs was announced. Poland will play against Estonia, who competed in the 2022/2023 Nations League in Division D.


As part of the qualification for EURO 2024, the Estonian national team played in Group F. The semi-final rival of Polish national team received just one point in eight matches (with a draw against Azerbaijan) and finished last in the group. Earlier, the Estonians won Group D2 of the 2022/2023 Nations League Division D, finishing above Malta and San Marino. It is this path that has given them the opportunity to compete in the play-offs.

In case of victory against Estonia, the Poles will play in the final battle for qualification to next year's European Championships. The potential rival of the Polish national team is not yet known. In the other semi-final, Wales will face one of the following rivals: Finland, Ukraine or Iceland. Joining the path A of the play-offs will be decided by draw. It will take place on 2 December at 6 p.m. in Hamburg.
