Inauguration of the Akademia Młodych Orłów

On 26th April, the first training sessions of the Akademia Młodych Orłów took place at Orlik at ul. Kazimierzowska in Warsaw. The training was conducted by the coaches of youth national teams: Marcin Dorna, Rafał Janas, Robert Wójcik and Bartłomiej Zalewski. Watch the video material.

The Polish Football Association in cooperation with District Council of Mokotów of the city of Warsaw has started an innovative project of exemplary football academy for children and youth aged 6 to 11 called ‘Akademia Młodych Orłów’. The President of the Polish Football Association, Zbigniew Boniek, is encouraging young players to join the academy. The AMO gives a chance for free football training at the highest level both for boys and girls in three age categories: 6-7 y.o. (U-7), 8-9 y.o. (U-9) and 10-11 y.o. (U-11).

On Saturday and Sunday, the first players took their fitness and football abilities tests and were watched by the coaches of youth national teams of Poland: Marcin Dorna, Rafał Janas, Robert Wójcik and Bartłomiej Zalewski. Many young students of football tried their hands. Registration and tests for eleven- and seven-year-olds took place on Saturday and for the nine-year-olds on Sunday. We are very grateful to everyone who came. We would also like to inform everyone that due to the unfavourable weekend weather conditions and numerous questions about other dates for the AMO tests, the Polish Football Association will also recruit in May and the comprehensive results will be announced later. Visit out website, where soon you'll be able to find further information on the AMO.
