The Polish Football Association has entered into cooperation with the Border Guard

The Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard, Major General Robert Bagan, and the President of the Polish Football Association, Cezary Kulesza, met at the headquarters of the Polish Football Association. The topics of discussion were joint plans to honour the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Border Guard during the upcoming play-off match of the Polish national team against Albania at the PGE Narodowy. The initiative also aims to promote socially important values, such as respect for the uniformed services, patriotism, and attachment to the white and red – Poland's national colours.

The presence of officers at the match will be of a representative nature, symbolically highlighting the significance of public service and its role in the state's security system. The pre-match ceremony will include carrying the national flags onto the pitch by 20 Border Guard officers, individuals who carry out demanding duties on a daily basis while achieving sporting success, representing Poland in the international arena, including in the Border Guard football team.

The ceremonial nature of the event will also be highlighted by the performance of the anthems by the Representative Orchestra of the Border Guard.

The year 2026 is a special one for the Border Guard, as the service is celebrating its 35th anniversary. Since its establishment, it has continuously stood guard over the security of the state, effectively protecting the borders of the Republic of Poland. Combining years of experience with modern solutions, the Border Guard responds to the dynamically evolving challenges of today's world.
