Marcin Dorna has successfully completed the second edition of FIFA’s elite Technical Leadership Diploma, earning his qualification. It marks a significant personal achievement for the Sporting Director of the PZPN, as well as a distinction for the association itself.

Over the past eighteen months, Dorna, together with 24 selected participants from around the world, has been developing his expertise across five key areas identified by FIFA as fundamental to the future of the game.

The Technical Leadership Diploma is an elite programme designed for sporting and technical directors from FIFA member associations and continental confederations. “The role of a technical leader is crucial to the future of football and deserves wider recognition,” underlined Steven Martens, FIFA Director of Global Football Development.

“In recent years, FIFA has worked closely with member associations on initiatives such as the Talent Development Scheme. The successful implementation of such projects depends on strong, competent leadership from technical and sporting directors. That is why we want to support them, help them grow and work alongside them so they can become the best in their field, and in doing so, strengthen the global development of football,” Martens added.

The course lasted 18 months and involved more than 380 hours of learning in a range of formats: in-person sessions in Europe, South America and Asia, group work, online classes and individual mentoring meetings. The programme focused on five pillars: management, leadership, talent development, grassroots football, and coach and specialist education.

Warm congratulations to Sporting Director Marcin Dorna!
