The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup is about to begin
On 6 September 2025 at 3:00 p.m., a special event will take place at the Superuato.pl Silesian Stadium in Chorzów as part of the preparations for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026. The event will be attended by representatives of FIFA, the Polish Football Association, and the host cities, who together will present the key information about the tournament.
During the “Brand Launch” conference, the official logo and visual identity of the tournament will be unveiled for the first time. The host cities will be announced, a promotional film will be shown, and details of the format and match schedule will be presented. The event will also include speeches from FIFA and PZPN representatives, as well as a panel discussion with the mayors of the host cities.
Poland has extensive experience in hosting international football events. We were co-hosts of UEFA EURO 2012, followed by the 2017 UEFA European U-21 Championship and the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup. In recent years, our country has also staged major European club finals – last year the UEFA Super Cup in Warsaw, and this year the UEFA Europa Conference League Final in Wrocław.
Women’s football is one of the key areas of activity for the Polish Football Association. This year, the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship was held in Podkarpacie region, an event that demonstrated the growing importance of women's football in Poland. What is more, the Polish women’s national team qualified for the finals of the European Championship for the first time in history, opening a new chapter in the history of domestic football.
Today, the PZPN officially declared its candidacy to host 2029 UEFA Women's Championship, and the association is also seeking the right to host the 2026 Champions League final. This is clear proof of Poland’s ambitious plans and the dynamic development of women’s football in our country.
