PZPN has signed a letter of intent to build a national team training centre

On this day, the Polish Football Association (PZPN) signed a letter of intent regarding the construction of a multifunctional training centre, potentially to be located in Karczew. The document was signed by President of PZPN Cezary Kulesza and the General Secretary of PZPN Łukasz Wachowski, and on behalf of the local authorities – by the Mayor of Karczew, Michał Rudzki, and the Chairman of the Karczew City Council, Piotr Kwiatkowski.

"Our primary objective remains unchanged. We want to create a training base for all Polish national teams. Such a centre represents a significant step forward, not only in terms of infrastructure but above all from a strategic perspective. It is an investment in the future of our national teams and Polish football as a whole. It will serve as a key centre for development. We want to provide space for research and education, not only for the national teams but also for coaches, staff members, and referees”, said Cezary Kulesza, President of the Polish Football Association.

"The signing of the letter of intent with the Polish Football Association is an important step for the Municipality of Karczew and its sporting future, as well as a stimulus for the local economy. Karczew has a rich footballing tradition, and for many years football has brought together generations of residents, from children to seniors. Cooperation with the PZPN opens up new opportunities for the development of infrastructure, youth training, and the support of local initiatives. I believe that together we will lay solid foundations for the further development of football in the Municipality of Karczew, to the benefit of our entire community,” said Michał Rudzki, Mayor of Karczew.

The planned centre could serve as a central training base for all Polish national teams – both men's and women's – from senior squads to youth teams, enabling even more effective organisation and the continued development of the national teams' structures.

"A modern training centre for all Polish national teams could offer a long-term solution to organisational challenges and ensure optimal working conditions for both the men's and women's teams", said Łukasz Wachowski, General Secretary of the Polish Football Association.

Investment in a dedicated training base for the national teams represents another step towards building a strong foundation for the future development of Polish football.
