PZPN promotes our country together with the Polish Tourism Organisation
The Polish Football Association and the Polish Tourism Organisation continue their cooperation aimed at promoting Poland through sport. As part of this partnership, the association and Poland's representatives present our country as an attractive tourist destination.
– Thanks to Poland's promotion by well-known athletes, especially as famous as Polish footballers, we will be able to effectively attract tourists, says Małgorzata Wilk-Grzywna, Vice-President of the Polish Tourism Organisation. – This cooperation is a manifestation of the Polish Tourism Organisation's strategic approach to promotion through sport and football, through our national team. It is a fantastic medium for the emotions we want to convey. We want to present Poland as a modern, beautiful country, a country with traditions, with great players, with success in sports, emphasises Łukasz Wachowski, Secretary General of the Polish Football Association.
The cooperation includes, among other things, the publication on social media of videos featuring football players, which show the beauty of Poland and encourage foreign tourists to visit our country. These projects combine sporting emotions with the presentation of Polish culture and nature. In this way, sport becomes a platform that attracts the attention of international audiences and highlights Poland's tourism potential. The first videos have already been made during the October training camp. They feature Marcin Bułka (picking mushrooms in the forest) and Bartosz Bereszyński (cycling around Warsaw). Similar videos featuring two more footballers are to be made.
- These materials are to be broadcast in foreign markets. These will primarily be European countries. Those from which the largest number of tourists come to Poland, but also, or perhaps above all, those with which athletes are associated, informs Małgorzata Wilk-Grzywna.
Another element of the campaign are materials presented on laczynaspilka.pl, as well as translated and published in foreign media, thanks to which fans and tourists can become better acquainted with the towns and regions where Polish football stars come from. Often, these are undiscovered tourist areas that are not the first choice for visitors, but have a rich history and attractive places to spend time in.
The campaign run by the PTO and the Polish Football Association aims to reach a target audience of 55 million.
