Wrocław will host the 2025 UEFA Conference League final

Another Polish city to host a European cup final! At Wednesday's meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, it was decided to choose Wrocław to host the 2025 UEFA Conference League final.

So far, two European cup final matches have been played in Polish stadiums. In 2015, the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw hosted the finalists of the UEFA Europa League. At the time, Sevilla FC beat Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 3:2, with Grzegorz Krychowiak scoring one of the goals for the winner team. Six years later, the final of the same competition took place in the Polsat Plus Arena in Gdańsk. At that time, Villarreal CF won against Manchester United after extra time and a penalty shootout.

The Tarczyński Arena Wrocław stadium, which will be the venue for the 2025 UEFA Conference League final, was built between 2009 and 2011 as one of the arenas for the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, hosted by Poland and Ukraine. It can accommodate just over 45,000 fans, including VIP boxes and VIP seats. The stadium has the highest UEFA category - 4. The first football match was played there on 28 October 2011, when Śląsk Wrocław faced Lechia Gdańsk. Poland's national team played at the Wrocław venue for the first time two weeks later against Italy. Since then, the Polish national team have made twelve more appearances in the capital of Lower Silesia, the last time so far on 1 June 2022.
