Arenas for the upcoming home matches of the Polish national team
On 29 March 2022, the Polish national team will play a match at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, the Management Board of the Polish Football Association decided. The opponent of the White-and-Reds will be Sweden or the Czech Republic. It all depends on who will advance to the final of the play-offs for the World Cup in Qatar. The national team's schedule also includes a match against Wales in the Nations League, which will take place on 3 June at Tarczynski Arena Wroclaw. On 13 June, the Poles will play in the Nations League against Belgium at the home stadium of the Polish national team – the PGE Narodowy Stadium.
The March match was originally scheduled to take place at the PGE Narodowy Stadium. Due to the current epidemic situation and the reopening of the temporary hospital at the venue, the match cannot be played at the arena.
The match of the first round of the play-offs for promotion to the 2022 World Cup, in which Poland will play against Russia, will take place on 24 March at 18:00 (Polish time) at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. If the White-and-Reds can defeat this rival, they will face Sweden or the Czech Republic in the decisive match for promotion to the World Cup. This match will be played on 29 March at the Silesian Stadium. If, on the other hand, the Poles fail to beat Russia, they will face the loser of the Sweden-Czech Republic play-off in a friendly match in Chorzów.
Moreover, the Management Board of the Polish Football Association has already decided on the venue for the White-and-Reds' June matches in the Nations League. On 3 June, the Poles will face Wales at the Tarczyński Arena in Wrocław. On 13 June, they will play against Belgium at the home stadium of the Polish national team - the PGE Narodowym Stadium.
