"Over the last few years, there has been a huge lead forward in women's football in Poland. We are happy to be a part of this and contribute to this project. Broadcasts of women's national team matches on TVP channels have enjoyed growing interest during the previous cycle. We believe that this agreement will allow us to gain more regular fans of women's football. This national team has already proved that it is worth supporting," said Zbigniew Boniek, President of the Polish Football Association.

"The development of women's football is one of the key pillars of the "PZPN Strategy for 2020-2025". The extension of the current agreement is a result of the potential of the sport and a consequence of good cooperation between TVP and PZPN. We are convinced that the record of the highest viewership ratings for women's national team matches, which currently stands at 400 thousand, will soon be broken," added Maciej Sawicki, Secretary General of PZPN.

"The home of Polish football is Telewizja Polska. In the years 2021-2025, we will broadcast all friendly matches of the Polish women's national team as well as the qualifiers for the World Cup in 2023 and the European Championship in 2025. All matches will be broadcast in the best possible quality, at no extra charge, including on the Internet, in the mobile app and in hybrid TV. At TVP, we strongly support the national team led by coach Nina Patalon," emphasises Marek Szkolnikowski, Director of TVP Sport.

The agreement has been concluded for a definite period – until the end of August 2025. Under the agreement, Telewizja Polska SA will show all home matches of the first Polish women's national team, including qualifying and friendly matches. The document also provides for broadcasts of away matches on TVP if the signal is obtained. The matches will invariably be accompanied by professional TV graphics.

Poland women's national football team begins the qualifiers for the World Cup final tournament. Their rivals will be Norway, Belgium, Albania, Kosovo and Armenia. The final tournament will begin on 20 July and end on 20 August 2023. This time, the hosts of the FIFA Women's World Cup will be Australia and New Zealand. American women's national football team will be defending the World Champion title. The winners of each of the nine groups will advance to the final tournament. The second-place teams will compete for the three remaining places in the final tournament in two-stage play-offs.

The first broadcast on TVP Sport will take place already on 17 September 2021, at 07.00 p.m., when the Poland women's national team will take on Belgium in Gdańsk at the beginning of the World Cup qualifiers.
