Fortuna Polish Cup final on 2 May 2021 in Lublin
Polish Football Association informs that the final of this year's Fortuna Polish Cup will be held on 2 May 2021 in Lublin, at Arena Lubin. The resolution was passed by the Management Board of PZPN at the last meeting.
Since 2014, five consecutive editions of the Polish Cup final had been traditionally held on 2 May at the home of the Poland national team - PGE Narodowy. However, the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions resulting from it have caused major changes. As a result, last year's final was played on 24 July in Lublin. In an exciting game, Cracovia beat Lechia Gdańsk 3:2 after extra time and won the cup.
"Lublin was up to the task and prepared the venue for the final very well. It is always well organised, friendly and hospitable as we have seen many times, especially during the U-21 European Championship or U-20 World Cup, which took place in Poland" Zbigniew Boniek, President of the Polish Football Association, emphasised.
The Management Board of PZPN has decided that this season's Fortuna Polish Cup final will again be held in Lublin, this time on 2 May 2021.
