Zbigniew Boniek at the top of the 50 Most Influential People in Polish Sport ranking
The Forbes magazine alongside Pentagon Research have prepared a ranking of 50 Most Influential People in Polish Sport. Once again, the President of the Polish Football Association Zbigniew Boniek placed at the top of the list. Second place was taken by Adam Malysz and third spot went to Robert Lewandowski.
'I am delighted to have won such a contest. I represent the largest sports association in Poland and this award constitutes a recognition of the efforts of numerous people. In my opinion, "influential" means "effective", so I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this award. The image of the Polish Football Association has significantly improved over the last few years, also thanks to the young people who work for it every day. I would also like to thank the sponsors of our association because it is thanks to them that Polish football can grow,' said Zbigniew Boniek after receiving the award
