Historical logos of the Polish Football Association

Eleven historical logos are associated with the Polish Football Association. The first one was presented in the 1920s, shortly after the founding meeting in Warsaw. For almost all those decades the logo has featured an eagle, the image of which has changed significantly over time. There was also a ball displayed on two PZPN logos.

The current Polish Football Association logo was created in 2011. One of the reasons for the change was the need to freshen up the image of the association and its corresponding logo. The creators wanted to preserve the eagle and the ball – symbols that are very important to supporters – in the logo. Logo designs were inspired by history and experiences of other football associations from both inside and outside Europe. Folk art and even graffiti were considered. After choosing the best three suggestions, the design that refers to openness and dynamism – in the creators' opinion – was finally selected. The current PZPN logo has been used for almost ten years and is the eleventh one in the history of the Polish Football Association.
