Football Supports World Heart Day
World Heart Day is organised by UEFA’s social responsibility partner, World Heart Federation (WHF). In 2014 the World Heart Federation is working with European Healthy Stadia Network and the football family in Europe to support World Heart Day, by raising awareness of heart health and health promoting environments, including support from Polish Football Association.
On World Heart Day Polish Football Association and World Heart Federation is calling on men, women and children of all age groups to increase their physical activity in order to protect their heart health and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), including heart disease and stroke. Regular moderate exercise – such as walking, cycling, or participating in sports such as football – has many health benefits for the heart.
