2015 Europa League final in Warsaw – 10 months to the match
Another visit from UEFA officials concerning the organization of Europa League final in 2015 took place in Warsaw from 7th to 11th of July. It is the second biggest sporting event organized by UEFA in club football. The final will be a spectacular event promoting Warsaw and the National Stadium as the average ratings of the final exceed 60 million viewers. What is more, Europa League final is broadcasted to over 100 countries around the world.
A series of meetings was held between officials from UEFA/PZPN and the city of Warsaw, the National Stadium and Chopin Airport as organization of the event requires multi-dimensional cooperation in the fields of promotion, logistics, transport and public safety. As a build-up to the final, several other events will take place, such as a grand opening of tickets' sale, a ceremony of handing over the trophy to Warsaw's officials by UEFA's President, presenting the cup in various locations around the city and many more.
An official dinner will be hosted one day before the game to honour the occasion. Guest list will include members of UEFA and all 54 European Football Associations, government officials and numerous guests of honor. Events Organization, Safety and Infrastructure Department of PZPN is in charge of preparations for the final as a Local Organizing Committee.
Europa League final will take place on May 27th 2015 at 20:45 and will be preceded by a grand opening ceremony with several dozen artists performing at the National Stadium in Warsaw.
